Shey supports individuals with a broad range of clinical needs in a non-judgmental, holistic way utilising evidence-based treatments. She uses a strength-based, supportive, and a collaborative approach where the goal is to assist individuals in gaining greater insight and self-awareness, enhance emotional well-being and make positive change towards a more fulfilling life.
She is experienced in providing counselling within a variety of settings including private practice, schools, and in the employment services sector. She tailors her therapeutic approach to suit each individuals’ unique needs utilising Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy in her sessions with the aim of supporting individuals to reach their full potential and thrive.
What types of clients does Shey work with?
Shey works with adults and has a variety of interests, including depression, anxiety, women’s health, chronic health issues and pain management, grief, neurodivergence and vocational issues. Shey is a Medicare Provider and consults with clients funded through Victims of Crimes Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT).
Shey is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated. She holds a Master of Professional Psychology, a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology), and a Diploma in Counselling.
Shey practices tai-chi and yoga, enjoys bushwalking, and has a keen interest in creative expression.
