About Byron

Byron is a registered provisional psychologist who blends a calm and engaging style with a goal-oriented and practical approach to therapy. He supports individuals of all ages in addressing various mental health concerns that impact their quality of life.

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, confidence issues, workplace or relationship challenges, or navigating the complexities of grief and stress, Byron equips you with the tools, skills and confidence to navigate life in alignment with your values, aspirations, and overall wellbeing.

Drawing on rigorous training and evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and mindfulness, Byron tailors his approach to meet your unique needs and goals. He achieves this by creating an environment of autonomy and collaboration.

In addition to his clinical work, Byron supports future psychologists through the Psychlings Podcast, where he interviews leading Professors and Clinicians to explore the latest insights and trends in psychological practice, research, and education.

On the weekend, you might find Byron down the beach with his family having a surf and letting his highly energetic Hungarian Vizsla dig endless holes in the sand.

However, the fee for a session with Byron is $120, which is typically less than the gap fee you would pay after a Medicare rebate for sessions with most other psychologists.

If you would like to claim via private health, please check with your private health insurance fund to see if counselling is covered. Otherwise, you will need to pay the full fee.
